Fiesch Open light for the assistance for the up-and-coming-pilots

As the organisator of the Fiesch Open 2011 we conduct a Fiesch Open light

We want to provide the assistance for the up-and-coming delta-pilots not only theoretically but by putting into praxis.

In a wonderful region the specialists will plan a shorter and secure competition on 4 days.

To launch at the same place like the cracks and to land after the tasks at the same landing field will be an impressing experience. 

You should notice the following.

You are responsible for your equipment and your skill. You will be expected by thermally high alpine conditions. In July the thermals are strong and the wind from the valley is blowing heavy at the landing. The launch is on grass and there is a good slope without obstacles. The goal landing field in Ulrichen is huge and in the flying region there are many unproblematic landing fields. Should you sink immediately after launch you have to land in Fiesch at the official landing field. It is very important that you inspect this landing field personally, that you read the rules of the landing approach and that you imagine how you would land there. The competition will be flown with GPS reporting. You should concern yourself with your instruments in advance that you can handle them well on the floor and in the air.
